The Library Director or the Director’s designee has the authority to close the library in case of emergency or inclement weather, and will notify the Library Board of emergency closings.
As of January 2019, the library will no longer automatically close when Mercer School is closed due to inclement weather. Instead, the library director and staff will make the decision to close the library or delay the library’s opening only when conditions are unsafe for library staff or adult patrons. Patrons are advised to call the library at 715-476-2366 to verify that the library is open during weather or other emergencies or when road conditions are poor.
