Broadband assistance for low-income families

The FCC has announced a new program to help families pay for broadband service to their homes. Your family may be eligible to receive a discount of $50 per month or $75 per month if you live on Tribal lands. You may also receive a one-time $100 discount on the purchase of a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

This program will be available to households who qualify for the Lifeline program, qualify for the free or reduced lunch program, received a Pell Grant during the current year, or experienced a substantial loss of income since February 29, 2020.

The program was recently authorized by the FCC but a start date has not be announced. Visit www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit for more information.
