The Mercer Library is excited to be hosting a Local History Walk!
Library Assistant Blaze will lead the walk starting near Mercer School, down Margaret Street to the Library, and then to the Mercer Depot and downtown area. The length will be less than a mile round trip on paved roads and sidewalks.
This guided tour will cover subjects such as local lumber operations, early school life, railroads, prohibition, and important early business ventures. In the case of inclement weather, we will hold a guided history discussion in the library instead.
