The “Never Had It So Good” group holds twice-weekly AA meetings at the Mercer Library. Thursday night meetings are an Open Meeting and are held at 7:00 p.m. from November through April and at 7:30 p.m. from May through October. Sunday meetings are an Open Big Book Study and are held at 6:00 p.m. year-round.
The library is seeking input on how we can help preserve, document, and display our community's history. Join us for "Memory Mondays," an engaging gathering where local history buffs, community enthusiasts, and curious minds come together to share insights stories and ideas about our local history. If you have ideas, you are invited to attend! People with questions or personal projects are also invited to attend, ask questions about the library's services and digitization equipment, and share information. Memory Mondays will be held on the second Monday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All are welcome! For more information, call the library at 715-476-2366.

Artist in Residence Aline Fetter will present a free workshop on Intermediate Photography with smartphone or digital camera at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 20. Stay tuned for more information! Aline Fetter has been a full-time resident of the Northwoods since 2018. She began her photographic journey as an advertising executive, supervising dozens of photo shoots and reviewing thousands of photographs, before studying photography at the College of DuPage. Inspired by her passion for nature, Aline began exploring the waterways, roads, and paths of the Northwoods with her camera in hand. She strives to capture the unique moments and patterns in an all-too-transient world. From the subtle beauty of a sun dappled waterlily to the vivacious reflections of autumn on fast moving water, she uses her camera to celebrate nature as it is written in light. This program is offered to the public at no charge as part of the Mercer Library Artist in Residence program, thanks to support from the Friends of the Mercer Public Library. Space is limited, so please call the library at 715-476-2366 to register in advance.
