Understanding and Managing Prediabetes and Diabetes

According to the American Diabetes Association, over 1.2 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes every year. In 2021, 97.6 million American adults had prediabetes. Want to learn more? Registered Dietician Rebecca Crumb-Johnson will present an informative program on diabetes and prediabetes at the Mercer Library on Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:30 a.m.

Rebecca’s presentation will include information on what prediabetes is and what can you do to prevent it from becoming diabetes. The discussion will also include management of diabetes, with an emphasis on blood sugar control through diet. Whether you have been diagnosed with prediabetes or diabetes, or just want to improve your health with a balanced diet, all are welcome to attend this free program.

Rebecca Crumb-Johnson is a registered dietician and certified diabetes care and education specialist with the NorthLakes Clinic in Hurley, Ashland, Hayward, Iron River, and Minong. She has been practicing for over 30 years, and she loves to meet people wherever they are without judgement to come up with a plan that is practical, affordable, and healthy.
