Scandinavian Loop Weaving Class

May 16 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Scandinavian loop weaving is a simple and durable technique that uses no machines, thread or looms and turns trash into treasures. Mercer resident Deb Patton will lead a free beginners class on Tuesday, May 16th at 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. You’ll learn the basics of Scandinavian Loop Weaving and make a trivet or small rug; the choice is yours.

Please bring two large pieces of fabric or bed sheets with at least 50% cotton content for tearing into strips, sharp scissors, and a ruler.

The class is free, but you must register in advance as space is limited to no more than 10 learners.

Those who have already learned Scandinavian loop weaving at Deb’s earlier class or elsewhere are also welcome to attend and work on their projects, and those bringing their existing projects are not required to register in advance.

For more information or to register, please call the library at 715-476-2366.
