Planning a Seed Saving Garden
March 3 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 amFree
Join UW-Extension Horticulture specialist Darrin Kimbler to learn about planning your garden for seed saving in a free Zoom presentation on Wednesday, March 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Kimbler will share information on how planning your garden can help you successfully save seeds for future seasons or to share with the Mercer Seed Library. Saving seeds can help you become a more self-sufficient gardener, and isn’t as hard as you think!
Darrin Kimbler serves as Iron County’s part-time Agriculture Educator in part to provide horticulture information. Darrin and his wife, Eve Komosa, also own Taiga Farm, a small family farm near Lake Superior focusing on sustainably pasture-raised animals for fiber and meat, heirloom vegetable varieties, and five varieties of grapes selected to tolerate the short growing season of the Northern Great Lakes region. Darrin is part of the Extension Iron County office in Hurley, Wisconsin.
For more information, contact Darrin at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Mercer Library at 715-476-2366.
