August 2022 is “Bike to the Library Month” at the Mercer Public Library! Ride your bike to the library and you can enter to win one of two prize bags, each valued at approximately $70. Anyone who arrives at the library by bike can enter, and there’s no cost to participate. Winners will be drawn on August 31, 2022.

Join us for a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, August 13 at 11:00AM to 1:00PM. We’re offering activities and information for all ages. Learn more about the Mercer Library Bike Rodeo

Bike to the Library Month is sponsored by the Friends of the Mercer Public Library in celebration of the Mercer Bike Trail and the installation of a new bike repair station at the library in June 2022. Our new bike repair station was sponsored by a grant from the Gogebic Range Health Foundation with matching funds from the Gary and Virginia Theisen Family and the Friends of the Mercer Library. The Saris deluxe workstation offers bicyclists a tire pump and the hand tools needed for basic bike maintenance and repair. It is available in the library’s Reading Garden on the south side of the building.
