April 1, 2021 – The Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned Governor Tony Evers’ health emergency declaration that required masks be worn by all Wisconsin residents when in public. However, by policy of the Mercer Public Library Board of Trustees, masks are still required for all library visitors ages five and older.
From the Iron County Health Department’s April 1, 2021, press release:
Effective immediately, Iron County Public Health Department is issuing an advisory which stipulates everyone age five and older should wear a face covering or mask when in any enclosed building where other people, except for members of person’s own household or living unit, could be present, and when social distancing of six feet cannot be maintained or guaranteed.
If you cannot wear a mask for any reason, we are happy to accommodate you with curbside service. Please call 715-476-2366 for curbside assistance with library materials; printing, copying, faxing, and scanning; notary services (when available); and other library services. The library’s Wifi network reaches the parking lot and is available 24/7.
