Strasbourg, France — The Mercer Library was one of several libraries featured in the Autumn 2018 volume of La Revue de la BNU, the journal of the Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg. An article by Mark Robinson and Lindley Shed Francoeur discussed Les Bibliothèques d’Objets aux États-Unis (Libraries of objects in the United States), and included a photograph of the Mercer Library’s lending telescope.
The Orion Starblast telescope is just one of many items in the Mercer Library’s lending collections. Library patrons can check out board games, activity kits for children and puzzles along with the more traditional books, DVDs, and books on CD. Library staff also sponsor activities and events on everything from soup to computer skills, and provide space for local groups to meet and share ideas. Visit the library to find out more about what your library can do for you!
